The Annapurna range at dawn from Poon Hill

Poon Hill guide

Poon Hill trek cost

What the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek costs and where the money goes, from the ACAP permit and transport to teahouses, guides and spending on the trail.

Price on request until our first season’s rates are set. Poon Hill is the shortest and least expensive of our treks: no flights, five days, and starting and ending in Pokhara.

What a package usually includes

  • Transport between Pokhara and the trailhead, and back
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (see permits)
  • A licensed guide and, if you want one, a porter, with their insurance, food and lodging
  • Teahouse rooms for every night on the trek

What other companies charge

Type of company Typical price
Nepal-based operators US$490–780 depending on length and Pokhara/Kathmandu hotel nights; median about US$740

We found no international brand selling Poon Hill on its own; they fold it into longer Annapurna trips.

These are prices listed on operators’ own websites, checked on 1 October 2026, per person for two people sharing. Inclusions vary, so compare like for like: some international brands leave out most trek meals, which adds roughly US$400 or more to what you actually pay.

What you pay on the trail

Teahouses charge separately for hot showers, Wi-Fi and charging, and prices rise the higher you go. Because Poon Hill stays below 3,300 m and close to roads, prices are lower than on Everest or the Circuit. The trek page lists typical prices.

Getting to Pokhara

The trek starts and ends in Pokhara. See how to get from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
